UAES STUDENTS ERUPT IN JOY AS SOLAR LIGHT LIGHTS UP THE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT; Ag. VC commends HE. Sen. Hope Uzodinma, Gov.of Imo State and NDDC MGT.

Students of University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Umuagwo are in a jubilant mood as the hitherto dark areas of the school have been totally lit up with solar panel street lights. The street lights which are a joint initiative of the NDDC and The Government of Imo State have brought life to the university's night time. The solar panels run from the University gate down to the Senate building, Faculties and Departments and even down to the hostels thereby lightening up the whole environment.

Jubilant students are celebrating because now they can carry on with regular casual and academic activities even at night. The solar panel lights have also improved the security of the students as well. In a video making the rounds, the students are heard hailing the Ag. Vice - Chancellor Prof. Christopher Chiedozie Eze, for his efforts to make sure the welfare of the students are made a top priority.

Reacting to the viral video, the Ag. Vice Chancellor reassured the students that his mission is to work with the Government to make the university meet the world class standards, he also promised not to relent in seeing to the best welfare for students especially those living on campus. He seized the opportunity to thank the Governor of Imo State and Visitor to the University, His Excellency Sen. Hope Odidika Uzodinma for his benevolence and dedication to the success of the new institution. He also thanked the Niger Delta Development Commission for coming through and helping the University in their growth process. He further encouraged the general public to consider University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences as their first-choice destination for academic excellence. Currently, all our programs have been accredited by the National Universities Commission and the university staff are ready and willing to impact knowledge on the students.
