About UAES Journal of Innovative Science and Technology for Development (UJISTD)
UAES Journal of Innovative Sciences and Technology for Development (UJISTD) is a
multidisciplinary scientific journal hosted by the University of Agriculture and
Environmental Sciences (UAES), Umuagwo, Imo State, Nigeria. It was established in
2023 and publishes two volumes and issues annually. UJISTD is a double-blind peer-reviewed
journal covering Agricultural sciences, Environmental sciences, Biological sciences,
Physical sciences and Engineering among other scientific disciplines. The journal
publishes well researched and original empirical studies in both online (open access)
and print versions.
The editor-in-chief and deputy editor-in-chief are Professor Emmanuel Uzoma Onweremadu
(Federal University of Technology, Owerri) and Dr. Nnawugwu Nwawuike (University of Agriculture
and Environmental Sciences, Umuagwo).
The Editorial Board holds that the opinions expressed in the various published articles in UJISTD are those
of the respective authors and not that of the UAES or UJISTD. As such, the author(s) shall be accountable for
any copyright infringement.

From the Editor’s Desk
Journal represents scholarly publications on issues relevant to a society or societies.
It showcases written records of what the author or authors has or have done including
how he or they has or have done it and products of such inquiry. A journal write up
brings to fore occurrences, experiences and observations in the course of the
investigations. In most cases, journals deal with specialties. The maiden edition of
UAES Journal of Innovative Sciences and Technology for Development (UJISTD) has just
been published with joy and great delight. The journal has been established to
publish innovative research output in areas of agriculture, environment,
engineering and related knowledge to enhance the well-being of mankind.
Authors are urged to be insightful and thoughtful in the choice of research
focus especially one that will add value to human existence.

UJISTD Calls for Manuscript Submissions
UAES Journal of Innovative Sciences and Technology for Development (UJISTD), announces the call for submission
of manuscripts. UJISTD is an institution based open access journal with double-blind peer review. Reviewed
manuscripts are published in two volumes and issues annually (June and December) both online and hard copy.
Authors are by this notice invited to submit papers to the forthcoming edition of UJISTD. Submissions must be
original research or review papers which have not been published before or under consideration for
possible publication elsewhere. UJISTD accepts papers in Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Sciences,
Biological sciences, Physical Sciences and Engineering. To be considered for publication, the manuscripts
must be submitted through the submission email and prepared according to the instructions on the author’s
guidelines.
Submission of Manuscripts
The full manuscripts are to be submitted electronically at journals@uaes.edu.ng. Manuscript submissions are ongoing.
Author’s Guidelines
The author(s) is/are requested to strictly follow the guidelines below:
The title of the research or review manuscript shall not exceed twenty (20) words.
Corresponding author will be distinguished using asterisk and email, given.
The font shall be Times New Roman. Font 14 shall be used for the title while font 12 will be for the manuscript’s body.
Abstract shall be a maximum of 250 words.
Maximum number of key words is five (5).
The manuscript shall be presented in two column page format.
Tables, graphs, plates etc shall be presented and discussed accordingly within the text.
The referencing format is APA 7.
Line spacing is 1.5
Article page limit is fifteen (15).
